The 110 kV Xinxing Substation is located in Zongmen Village, Liufeng Town, Gangu County. It is mainly responsible for the power supply of Liufeng Town, Weiyang Town, Daxiangshan Town, and Nanbinhe Road and Xincheng Road in Gangu County. The station originally had two main transformers, isolating switches, transformers, drop-out fuses, lightning arresters, switch cabinets, vacuum circuit breakers and other equipment. In recent years, with the rapid development of the urban and rural economy in Gangu County, the electricity load has been increasing day by day. Especially as the Spring Festival is approaching and a large number of migrant workers have returned to their hometowns, the electricity load of urban and rural residents for production and living has increased rapidly. During the main transformer capacity increase and transformation process, State Grid Tianshui Power Supply Company organized personnel to conduct multiple on-site inspections to ensure that all preparatory work in the early stage of equipment operation was fully completed. Since the two main transformers were successfully put into operation on December 24, 2023, the main transformer capacity of the 119 kV emerging substation has been increased from 60 MVA to 100 MVA, effectively improving the energy efficiency of the main transformer and solving the problem of heavy main transformers in the substation. To solve load problems, enhance the safe operation capabilities of equipment and power grids, significantly improve the economic development of Gangu County and the reliability of power supply for residents' daily lives, and provide stronger power guarantee for the safe and stable operation of the power grid during the Spring Festival.
